WhatsApp HarryHow much does it cost to rewire a 3 bed house?
A standard 3 bed rewire with Harry is from £3,500, shown as a range up to about £4,100. That covers a new fuse board, a ceiling light and 3 sockets in each room, cables chased in, testing and the certificate. Harry fixes the price after seeing the house.
How long does it take to rewire a house?
A typical 3 bed house takes several working days, longer if the house is lived in or the cables are chased into solid walls. Harry gives you a day-by-day plan with the fixed price.
Do I need to move out during a rewire?
Not usually, but it is much easier with rooms cleared and floor coverings up. Power is restored at the end of each day where it can be.
Does a rewire include plastering?
Chasing leaves channels in the walls. Harry can fill them with a bonding coat for £300 to £500 depending on how many there are, ready for your plasterer to skim. Tick the option in the calculator to include it.
